#9  “Storyhill” John Hermanson and Chris Cunningham have been singing and playing together since they were kids...which explains those awesome harmonies and strong melodies.  On Red House Records.

#3  “The Gospel Truth” The very talented Susan Werner is back with a great record she calls gospel music for agnostics. On Sleeve Dog

#4  “Fork In The Road” Call it bluegrass or newgrass, these six young musicians can play!  A great debut from The Infamous Stringdusters.  On Sugar Hill.

#5  “Keep Your Silver Shined” She lives in Virginia now and this record sounds like it could have  roots in the Blue Ridge Mtns..  A unique and alluring record from Devon Sproule.  On Waterbug Records

#6  “Hop High” Technically this is a re-release but I missed it the first time out and made sure my listeners didn’t miss it this time.  A great record from Crooked Still.  On Signature Sounds

#7  “Over The Hills” Another fine recording from a seasoned singer-songwriter.  Lucy Kaplansky pulls together a great band for a stellar recording.  On Red House

#13 “South of Delia” A great songwriter interprets 12 songs that he feels belong together.  I couldn’t agree more. The latest from Richard Shindell at www.richardshindell.com 

#12  “Cimarron Manifesto” A unique vocal quality like no other.  Jimmy LaFave  turns out another great set of songs.  On Red House Records

#11  “Shine” A surprising new studio recording from one of the most widely respected and emulated songwriters of our time.  Pick up a copy of Joni Mitchell’s new record at Starbucks.
